A 27 foot tomato plant?

Today was the tomato house’s weekly cleaning, and wow are the tomato vines long. The longest vine is 27 feet, with the average being around 15-20 feet in length. The lower and lean technique obviously works. They are still producing flowers and new fruits into October with the addition of the tunnels. What a change from last year where they were done at the end of August and a 6 foot tall mess. We planned, planned some more, prayed some, and can say we offer tomatoes into October! We also still have fresh picked sweet banana peppers, jalapenos, bell peppers, hot scorpion & reaper peppers, okra, and eggplant. Farm has been rearranged for some new offerings that will be available this week-end. Stay tuned.
A topic which we have not addressed before is roadside signage. The road signs are actively changed to reflect currently available produce in Farm, and are not a permanent fixture. If you share about us through word of mouth, please pass that along too.
While summer Farm produce is swinging much later into the season, Goods is ramped up with the unique locally crafted Halloween and fall decorum that you will not find anywhere else.
Hoping everyone has a stellar evening! See ya’ at the farm! HHFG
